49ers Paradise49ers Paradise The Hidden Mess

The 49ers have spent the last 3 years rebuilding a team that fell to the depths of 4-12 at one point. Mainly through the draft, the team put together a team that was torn apart at the seams courtesy of the dreaded Salary Cap. Veteran leaders such as Ken Norton Jr, Tim McDonald, Merton Hanks were replaced by young but promising rookies. After a few misses such as R.W. McQuarters, the defense was pieced together. Guys like Julian Peterson, Jason Webster, and Ahmed Plummer now occupy the defense. The 49ers found a gem from the north in the Candien football league in Jeff Garcia. The offense took it's bumps as Garcia adapted to life in the NFL, but the pieces were all there. The Offensive line was always top notch, Owens, Rice, and Stokes kept the chains moving. o get back onto the field. All and all, the offense and defense suffered growing pains, but now are poised to both rank in the top 5 in the NFL. So all is well on both sides of the ball. There's just one team that hasn't seen any love from management. Special teams. The last few years, the special teams has been like opening the last present on Christmas day only to find that it's a big box of socks. A major disappointment.
